I'm pretty worried about this. A disconnected social graph (i.e. where each receiver's connections are part of the metric) seems more inclusive than one where you must have been linked to by someone who's already party of the network. A solution, though, might be to have a "vouch server" that automatically vouches you as a human based on some kind of metric or procedure.
