Where will this celebrity-geek culture mashup end?

When MC Hammer has not just [a blog](http://mchammer.blogspot.com/) but also [Skypecasts](http://mchammer.blogspot.com/2006/07/skypecast-today-4pm-pdt-discuss-look3x.html) and a social networking system, it’s possibly fair to say we’re in a bubble and the whole thing has jumped the shark.

Or maybe it’s proof that all this is really going to hit the mainstream.
