Mentioned partially because I'm reading actual reports of people with guns outside polling places. This is what the actual Nazis did.

@annejohn Heh. Freudian slip, because I still can't believe anyone would make him foreign secretary.

@audreywatters @kinlane I'm enjoying your podcast but can I ask you to make Kin a bit louder in the mix? Struggle to hear him sometimes.

@mattl @kevinmarks There's no iron in Irn Bru. If there was, it'd be called Iron Bru. And if it was brewed ...

· Replies · Share this post

@mattl @kevinmarks The recipe for Irn Bru is easy. Just take some unstable radioactive material and carbonate it.

That's a super-great point. I don't think it completely contradicts what he's saying - the Google infrastructure becomes the highly commercialized layer. But it's an interesting omission.

I'm a tech startup guy in favor of the SF tech payroll tax. I'd also like to see much more efficient local government spending.

@BofA_Help I haven't called this month yet. I did call last month and they were supposed to put a note on my account.

@nigel_farage You've empowered racists, decimated the economy, hurt trade for British businesses. Who's talking down what now?

@adamscrabble What I'm saying is: I'll accept some increased regulation in exchange for infrastructure. Not to the n, but some.

· Replies · Share this post

@adamscrabble There are certainly more regulations, and I didn't enjoy starting a biz in Scotland. But being poor isn't a death sentence.

· Replies · Share this post

@adamscrabble I lived with the NHS for 30 years and went to uni for free. Healthcare & quality were great. Poverty more important than biz.

@adamscrabble No question there's a lot of misguided legislation. In still in favor of European-style social infrastructure though.

· Replies · Share this post

@adamscrabble We don't agree on government, but I strongly agree about those things. They're morally bankrupt. Just, a bit less so.

· Replies · Share this post

@adamscrabble Yes. That's an important battle for another day. This is about gun legislation and needs focus. Can't fix everything at once.

Innocent people die every day in the name of back-room deals dressed as ideals by disingenuous, manipulative relics. No more.

"Don't tread on us" is a much stronger idea than "don't tread on me". Communities have to stand together for peace.

We have to control guns. But we also have to control the systemic violence that is creating poverty and unchecked war.

A culture that believes anyone has the right to live at the expense of anyone else is bankrupt.

Guns are a symptom of a larger culture of violence that considers it normal to drone strike innocent people overseas.
