@francesbell Absolutely. Do need funding though - whether direct revenue (much harder to start) or investment (have to sell a big picture).

@holden Agree. Software tends to look like its developers - and the people buying. Question is: who else is buying, funding, building?

@hjarche @amyburvall Capital and marketing are core to business. We were (and I still tend to be) naïvely idealistic to our detriment.

@amyburvall @hjarche My big regret is the hosted service. We were beating Ning - but they had $100m. We should have raised.

@hjarche It powers the intranet for at least three national governments - I'm okay with how it did ;)
