# Using your resource tab

The resource tab is one of the most powerful features in Elgg. Each resource is a feed of information from either within Elgg or elsewhere on the web, which you can view on its own or together on an aggregated page that looks a bit like a weblog.

How does it work? Let's have a look at the following examples:  
  
1. I want to keep track of what [Christopher Sessums](http://elgg.net/csessums/) has to say about [learning](http://elgg.net/search/index.php?weblog=learning&ref=7137&owner=1593).
2. I want to keep track of what [files](http://elgg.net/elggcoding/files/) are being uploaded to the [Elgg development community](http://elgg.net/elggcoding).
3. I want to make sure I keep track of everything everyone's saying about Elgg, both [on Elgg.net](http://elgg.net/tag/elgg/) and [in the blogosphere at large](http://www.technorati.com/search/elgg).
4. I'd like to know when [Elgg hits the news](http://news.google.com/news?hl=en&ned=us&ie=UTF-8&q=elgg&btnG=Search+News).
