I'm really enjoying reading the @Urbit_ documentation, & I'd love to use the platform. It's good to see new ideas with a different approach.

Sadly, it's still a development framework. It'll save me time, but it's not an accessible heir to what Pioes did.

@fmanjoo Importantly: it happens in America *all the time*. This isn't a one-off.

@erinjo I think that one would apply to Spongebob Squarepants and basically nobody else.

@CKdotbiz I'll go find it! I've been a fan of Mel and Sue since high school. They used to have an amazing lunchtime talk show.

@kalanicraig @samplereality I think tiny tools loosely joined - rather than a monolithic app - are an important part of this idea.

@ottonomy I agree, but I don't think that's how it's going to go down. Standards discussions tend to infinity.

@rwentechaney Possible. Mostly I was impressed too - I'm not religious but very happy to hear a strong message for social justice.

Very nice speech, @pontifex, but surely you don't mean to imply that some kinds of families are more valid than others.

@sarahdessen I'm learning how much it helps! Kind of wish I'd started 20 years ago, but hey, better late than never ...?

@sarahdessen My new thing: walking seven miles a day. Which is definitely in the "arrange sock drawer" category of things.
