@jasonlk Again, really good feedback. Thank you.

@jasonlk That's great feedback - so you prefer a SAFE to a note with "best practice" terms?
@jasonlk Is there a situation where you would advocate using a SAFE or a more standard note?
@tinokremer I do think open source is a better model, but it's often incompatible with business realities. Having an "audit source" license would fulfill proprietary needs while allowing us to make sure that the software is fit for purpose.
@tinokremer Yes - but open source comes with the ability to share / reuse. I'd rather that we at least get the ability to audit our cars in particular for safety; I don't see manufacturers allowing that code to be reused or shared any time soon.
@mapkyca @johannes_ernst That's what I was trying to get at: sometimes you need to view and test, but not necessarily share.
@reybango I understand completely, but was trying to make a side point to my open source audience. I strongly thing revenue is freedom.
@jgmac1106 Tell me more. I won a Granta prize for a Twitter story once ;) If I could make a living through writing, I would.
@jordan_web Enterprises in particular tend to fall into pretty onerous licensing terms that can prevent them from making good decisions.
@jgmac1106 When the Internet becomes a dystopian sentient future-brain, there will still be hope, because we'll all be neurons. ;)
@jilliancyork Today's most infuriating thing: CNN totaled gun violence vs terrorism, as he asked. The reaction: biased liberal statistics...
