@jamesmoran Unless it's a forced upgrade in some kind of software as a service perma-connected universe, but that would be very bad too.
@jamesmoran That's fighting talk! So many TV editors clinging to FCP 7. Going to cause problems in the long run.
@freerange_inc We should talk some more with @IFTTT. I bet there are interesting things we could do. Also in a campus-wide context.
And if you want to run a community for your organization or school, get in touch with me. I'd love to talk it through with you personally.

I have a piece on opening source code in cars and devices. I feel like it's not one for my blog. This is so important.
@haje People do, but more importantly, it's important that *regulators* can. It's absurd and scary that cars can't be tested properly.
If you're an open source expert who wants to help organizations open their source responsibly, let me know. I think we can do some good.
Opening device source code to scrutiny doesn't mean you lose IP rights or your ability to make money. But it makes us all safer.
@dlnorman Agree. I just like the idea of scribbling notes on my book pages and sharing them.
@bbcdoctorwho Really hoping it's not "Doctor Who is now a Netflix co-production".
