I try not to have my devices out during meals at all if I'm with other people. If I'm at home there's a chance I'm streaming something to watch, which counts.
I'm on Cape Cod right now, and although I'm working, I'm downing all devices when I stop. It's making me realize how much my life is punctuated by notifications when it really doesn't need to be.

@dbounds I'm using a Known Firefox extension, but there's a Chrome one & a bookmarklet. All let you reply to / bookmark / share any page.

@dbounds So you could use Known as a blog in itself, or you could syndicate to WordPress (or Twitter, like I'm doing right now).
@dbounds You can. Known is a simple way to publish a social stream and easily syndicate it to other software & networks.

@jgmac1106 @mhawksey Yes. Definitely need some glue to hold it all together - and if the integrations are lightweight this should work well.
@jgmac1106 @mhawksey Makes sense. We'll support it for sure, but institutions should have concerns about lock-in etc.
@jgmac1106 @mhawksey It technically could, but I think it would be better if the backbone was itself open. Google is far from that.
@sirmlivesey In the end they bought it by acquiring a contextual ad company! Worked out okay for them.
