The HTML video tag is at least six years old and still can't be used reliably. In contrast, JPG and GIF became img standards very quickly.

@sarahm ... But apparently it's most likely for updating your monitor firmware. Which is much less interesting.
@sarahm The only other thing I thought of is if the monitor has extra ports somewhere and acts as a USB hub.
