You can now subscribe to my website on Mastodon / the fediverse by plugging @werd.io@werd.io into your search bar and hitting “follow”.
It was really easy. Here’s how I did it:
- I signed up to Bridgy Fed
- Made sure my website produces an h-card that describes it well (Known does this out of the box).
- Added a single line to the top of my website redirects.
- That’s it.
Ryan Barrett, who builds and supports the Bridgy set of services, is brilliant, and this simple tool is another reason why. I really appreciate how easy this was.
