This Internet connection has been giving me grief since I got here - until I used Google's DNS servers. Worth remembering.
I've overdone it; I'm going to chill out for the few remaining days of my trip. But the good news is that I'll be back very soon.

@mapkyca My hotel wifi didn't like HTTPS at all. Here is a little better. I actually think they just detect bursts of data.
Browsers are great at consuming but terrible at uploading. For web apps to succeed, compression & smarter upload strategies are important.

Discovering that many wifi hotspots automatically kill large file POSTs, but, eg, Dropbox works. Room for JS chunked uploads? #indieweb
