By far the most exciting thing in the X-Men: Apocalypse trailer is the dramatic aerial shot of my hometown.
Filing under "things I don't quite understand": those videos that have a shot of something absolutely toxic, followed by more footage of something that will send you to the emergency room, followed by a way to combine them in a way that only tangentially resembles food, followed by the word "Delicious!" It's like weird obesity propaganda.
When I lived thousands of miles away, I'd make my mother a calendar with photos of the year. Now I'm close, I still do. Christmas tradition.
